Mr. Daniel Layton
I am honored to serve as the Chief School Administrator and Principal of Woodrow Wilson School. With nearly 20 years in education and over a decade of administrative experience, including serving as a PK–8 Building Principal and a PK–12 Curriculum Supervisor, I bring a broad and balanced perspective to this role. These positions have provided me with valuable insight into the systems and relationships that drive successful schools.
I hold a Post-Master’s Certification in School Administration, Principal, and Supervisor Endorsements, a Master of the Arts in Teaching, and a Bachelor of the Arts in Political Science and Communications—all earned from Monmouth University. These experiences have shaped my leadership style and strengthened my commitment to creating supportive, student-centered environments where every child can succeed.
My leadership philosophy centers on collaboration, communication, and community. I am dedicated to fostering a school culture rooted in respect, trust, and academic excellence, and I look forward to working collaboratively with students, families, faculty, and community members to support the continued growth and well-being of our school.
I am excited to engage with the Woodrow Wilson School community and build strong partnerships to help every student thrive.
